Doing Good With Tech
A few years ago a friend and I started GoodTech. We saw an opportunity to make high-quality, refurbished tech devices more affordable and accessible to New Zealanders.
Via GoodTech, thousands of New Zealanders have been able to access better technology from a trustworthy source, while helping the environment by extending the life cycle of these smart devices.
As the commercial side of the business has become established it has allowed us to begin exploring ways to work with schools in lower-socio economic communities. As we better understand their tech requirements we are designing a GoodTech teacher and student support programme.
Building a successful online business and brand has been really interesting. It has given me firsthand experience of the many tools available to online entrepreneurs e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Wordpress, Shopify, MailChimp, Buffer, Yotpo, SEO, Google Adwords etc.
I have now stepped back from the business but remain as an advisor to Fraser and GoodTech.
